Mathematics and Physics Alumni Network
Officially launched in September 2008, the Mathematics and Physics Alumni network is currently seeking nominations for the executive committee. The network hopes to connect graduates with current students and staff to benefit all in creating a dynamic network.

Interested in teaching physics or mathematics?
Support for graduates to become chemistry, physics or mathematics
teachers is now available via the Department of Education and Training.
For the first time in 2010, the Department of Education and Training
will offer Teacher Education Scholarships to high-achieving science,
mathematics and engineering graduates who would like to make a
difference in the lives of young Queenslanders by becoming state high
school teachers.
Scholarship recipients will be supported to undertake a Graduate Diploma
in Education - Secondary (or equivalent pre-service teacher education
program) in 2010. Scholarship benefits include $10,000 in financial
assistance as well as the opportunity for permanent employment with the
Department of Education and Training upon completion of studies.
