Following the model of the Ricci Flow solution to the Geometrization Conjecture, we will demonstrate how one can start with an arbitrary triangulation (PL-structure) of a closed 3-manifold and evolve the given PL-structure through a connected sum decomposition of the 3-manifold to derive the JSJ Decomposition and "efficient" triangulations of its component summands.
