Thomas Murday was an English electrical engineer and horologist who came to Australia to head the workshop of Prouds Electric Clocks and Scientific Instruments Ltd in Sydney in 1911, which built many industrial and public clocks ranging from those in Parliament House in Canberra to the Kingaroy School of Arts. Murday was also interested in chart recorders and designed a ‘thread recording electric microbarometer’ for Prouds. Examples of his work will be on display.

Anthony Roberts is a retired army officer turned horologist and Norman Heckenberg is Director of the UQ Physics Museum.
