About me
I’m a condensed matter theorist at the University of Queensland. My main interests revolve around topologically nontrivial states in 2D systems - their description and detection. These states are interesting for many reasons. Many are yet to be seen, though we’re pretty certain they should exist. Their existence depends upon broad topological considerations, and not on microscopic details. They are intimately linked to various types of fractionalisation: charge fractionalisation, anyonic statistics, solitons, and Majorana modes.
