Project level: Masters, Honours, Summer

In recent years, a large number of faint dwarf galaxies have been discovered in the halo of the Milky Way. The newly discovered galaxies are considerably fainter and more compact than known dwarf galaxies, blurring the line between galaxies and star clusters. In this project you will perform numerical simulations of the dynamical evolution of both dwarf galaxies and star clusters to try to shed some light on the nature of ultra-faint dwarf galaxies.
