Need help with a tricky tutorial problem or exam prep?

Our mathematics and physics learning centres are valuable resources for first-year students.

You can ask our friendly tutors about parts of a course you don't understand, about tutorial problems, or for help with reviewing work before an exam.

Tutorials are voluntary and informal, and you can attend them in addition to your regular tutorials.

Mathematics First-Year Learning Centre

Location: Priestley Building (67), Room 443.

Starts in week 2 and continues to exam week 1, stopping only at mid-semester break.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm - 4pm.

Physics Learning Centre

The Physics Learning Centre comprises 5 in-person tutorial sessions per week.

Location: Parnell Building (07), Room 208 (Physics Student Tea Room).

Starts in week 2 and continues until week 13.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 12.30pm - 1.30pm.

Upon request, Zoom sessions may be accommodated.

Head to the Ed PLC Discussion Board to join the discussion board, then ask a question or request a Zoom meeting.

Questions can be posted at any time on the discussion board (which can be anonymous). However, being proactive with your learning is always the best approach, since responses may not be instant. It is much better to drop into a PLC session to ensure the timeliness of questions being answered.
