Postgraduate Information Day

Each year, the School of Mathematics and Physics invites applications from prospective PhD students to visit UQ in Brisbane. We will fly students from anywhere within Australia and New Zealand to Brisbane to discover the array of possibilities at The University of Queensland.

The Prospective PhD Open Days are held on the Thursday and Friday of UQ Research Week. This year's Postgraduate Information Days will be held on 14 and 15 September 2017. You can choose to spend the following weekend in Brisbane to get to know and imagine yourself living in our wonderful city.

By attending this event you will have the opportunity to meet our staff and discuss your options for choosing a research project that satisfies your needs and interests; our staff are recognized leaders in their fields. You will also meet current postgraduate students to gain an insight into their experiences at UQ. If you are interested in enrolling in a PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics at UQ, and are in your final year of your Honours or MSc degree, come and visit us! Deadline for applications close 18th August.
