Celebrating International Day of Women and Girls in Science

11 Feb 2019

UQ's Faculty of Science is showcasing incredible female scientists to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science - 11 February - featuring the School's own Professor Tamara Davis.

Science and gender equality are both vital for the achievement of the internationally agreed development goals, including the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Over the past 15 years, the global community has made a lot of effort in inspiring and engaging women and girls in science.

The Faculty is actively working to lead the way, inspiring young women to become active in science and help build a better world.

Watch some of UQ's inspirational scientists, including Professor Davis, open up about their careers and see just how rewarding a career in science can be.
