What is a robust cycle between hyperbolic ergodic measures? How? For what?

Abstract
We introduce and discuss heterodimensional cycles between hyperbolic ergodic measures. We compare these cycles with the heterodimensional ones associated to hyperbolic sets and discuss the "robustness of such cycles". In the setting of partially hyperbolic dynamics with a one-dimensional center, we present some classes of examples. We will also discuss the impact of such cycles on the structure of the space of invariant measures. This is joint work with Ch. Bonatti and K. Gelfert.
About Pure mathematics seminars
We present regular seminars on a range of pure mathematics interests. Students, staff and visitors to UQ are welcome to attend, and to suggest speakers and topics.
Seminars are usually held on Tuesdays from 2 to 3pm.
Talks comprise 45 minutes of speaking time plus five minutes for questions and discussion.
Information for speakers
Researchers in all pure mathematics fields attend our seminars, so please aim your presentation at a general mathematical audience.
