Project level: Masters, Honours

The Positive Realization Problem deals with finding descriptions of linear systems based on non-negative matrices.  It has applications in control, applied probability and statistics, yet is linear-algebraic in nature and is related to both convex optimization and the theory of non-negative matrices.

In this project, the student will explore the positive realization problem in its several forms.
