Project Level: Summer

Project Duration: 6 weeks

Hours of Engagement: 20

Project Description:

The aim of this project is to investigate the properties of root systems associated to graphs. Root systems are remarkable combinatorial objects which are omnipresent in mathematics. This project will enhance our understanding of these objects and their relationship to graph theory.

Expected Outcomes:

Expected outcome is deep understanding of root systems and their relationship with graphs.

Suitable for:

Students must have completed Math3303. The candidate must be comfortable working in an independent fashion. They are expected to produce a report for this project.
