Project level: Masters, Honours, Summer

Some recent developments in statistical mechanics have come up with new geometric interpretations of thermodynamic quantities. This project would look at applying these ideas to the Bose gas. In particular, it would be to analytically incorporate additional conserved quantities into the expressions, or e.g. derive an expression for the specific heat. You must not be afraid of long equations to take on this project.
