New survey on the policy futures of quantum technology

2 Jul 2021

Survey scrabbleA team of researchers from EQUS and The University of Queensland have launched a survey focused on the policy futures of quantum technologies in Australia.

Quantum technologies are likely to impact multiple aspects of society with uses in areas such as healthcare, defence, finance, and cybersecurity.

These technologies will be important for society, but we need to ensure they are developed responsibly.

The survey focuses on the ethical and policy challenges posed by quantum technologies and approaches to solving or mitigating those challenges.

It takes about fifteen minutes to complete and will be open for responses from Australian stakeholders of the emerging quantum technology sector until 30 July 2021.

Results will inform policy recommendations and further research into the societal aspects of quantum technologies.
